Liberty Church is committed to outreach in our community. The Bible gives us a clear mandate to help the poor and oppressed. In 2004, we gave birth to an annual outreach in our former home, the city of Warren, called Summerfest. This event has grown into a partnership of hundreds of volunteers from dozens of local churches and businesses reaching thousands people annually with basic needs and the hope of Jesus Christ. We also serve groceries to hundreds of families through a weekly partnership with the city of Warren, the Alliance of Warren Evangelicals, and Forgotten Harvest. We believe strongly in being a missional church that is not consumed with how many people we seat, but how many we send. We do not sit and invite people to church, we take church to the people who may never come to us. Jesus commissioned His disciples to “Go”; and we strongly believe in taking up that mantle and running with it.
LCKIDS
Jesus made it clear how important our children are to Him. At Liberty Church, we believe that no ministry or program is more important than that of our kids. The Bible says in Proverbs to direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it. That is our mission with LC Kids. LC Kids is a weekly, age-specific ministry on Sunday mornings for newborns up to 5th graders. Children are checked in by their parent/guardian(s) prior to the start of service before embarking on a vibrant spiritual adventure presented in a way they can understand.
Upon checking in, Newborns to 5-year-olds will enjoy a nursery style setting, suited to their needs. Each parent will receive a restaurant-style pager that will vibrate during the service in the event that the nursery attendant needs to get ahold of them, should there be a special need for their child.
1st through 5th graders are treated to a fun experience where they can build relationships with other kids of similar ages, values, and beliefs. Kids are challenged to grow in their relationships with God and taught how to be a shining example for Christ in their lives outside the walls of Liberty Church.
LCSTUDENTS
Liberty Church is committed to cross-generational ministry. Statistics reveal that most people who follow Christ make a decision to do so before age 18. Therefore, reaching middle and high school students is a passionate part of our vision. Our youth are not a part of the church of tomorrow, but a vibrant and important catalyst in our church today.
LC Students is our ministry for young people who are in 6th through 12th grade. Our student ministry meets weekly on Sunday mornings at 10am and Wednesdays at 6:30pm with the goal of engaging students in the Word of God, and challenging them to go deeper in their relationships with Jesus. We also host regular events for our students to allow them to cultivate relationships with each other. There is no bigger influence on a teenager's life than their friends, so we believe in creating an environment where students are being influenced positively, being supported by peers with biblical values, and creating friendships that will last a lifetime.
